Updates and Announcements

In-Person Information

We have been approved for 2 Travel Games
We will be able to send a Pep Band of Seniors and several Section Leaders to 2 of the Away Games.  I need every Senior to Fill out THIS FORM by Tuesday the 22nd to hold your spot.  These games are completely optional, but I need to hear back from each of you.  Priority this year will go to Seniors and then Junior Section Leaders as we balance out the Pep Band.  Away Game COVID Protocols will be sent out soon.

Marchathon Friends and Family Performance is Monday, September 21st.  This Performance will be at 7:45PM, near the end of our normal Rehearsal on that evening.  We will be Marching the First 2 movements of our Show at the Stadium and performing many Stand Tunes and Cadences for Parents/Friends and Family in a Socially Distanced Setting to kick off our Marchathon Fundraiser.  See the email from Mr. Nimocks for more information about how we need your participation in our March-a-thon Fundraiser.  If weather does not allow us to be at the Stadium we will let you know if we are postponing a week or moving to the Main Gym.

Band Supplies

If you have not picked up a tuner and pick up or a flipbook, we need these in class by Thursday.  They are both extremely helpful in our success.

It is essential that we all wear the correct Cougar Band Performance Uniform.  Black Shoes, Low Black Socks, Band Shorts, Purple Cougar Band Shirt.

First Home Football Game Performance is right around the corner, Friday, Sept 25th

Band Senior Recognition Night has moved
We have moved up the Band and Guard Senior Recognition Night to our Second Home Game, October 16th.  We will Recognize all Seniors at Halftime.  I’ll send out information soon for Parents and Families of those Seniors.

Football Programs: We still need some volunteers to sign up to help sell programs right before our Final Home game on December 4th.  Here is the direct link to sign up with the Cougar Club.  Sign up Link.  3 of 8 Slots are filled currently.

We will have two different recordings this week.  The first is of the Hutto High School Alma Mater that we will play for them on Friday evening.   The 2nd will be due Friday.  This will be our second try at the Fight Song.  Please be very careful and stay with the metronome/click track.
