Weekly Director’s Updates
Cougar Band & Guard
this week
From Mr. Seale Mr. Dixon and I are glad to have gone and gotten re-energized at TMEA! It was a wonderful event and Edward Yan had an Incredible Performance with the 5A All State Symphonic Band. Sectionals start this week for most sections as we really begin our deep dive into our UIL Programs. – Mr. Seale
General Announcements Letter Jackets Most students had their fittings take place last Friday morning (Thank you Mrs. Nolen!), but if you weren’t able to be there for that, the make-up fitting is tomorrow afternoon (Monday) at 2:30 in the Band Hall. Please come get a pass in the morning if you are not in 6th period Band.
Chamber Night (Re-Imagined) We have recorded most of the Ensembles. Mr. Dixon will be sending out the Chamber Night Concert as soon as he can. It will also be available on our YouTube Channel.
2022 Summer Band & Marching Season dates are out! Please visit the band website to view our summer band and marching season calendar for the 2022 Fall Semester. It will look very similar to this year. We do not have the football schedule yet but as soon as we do we will update it on the calendar. Happy planning!
Sectionals beginning for UIL Concert and Sight Reading Season Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will begin Sectionals this week. Concert Band will likely have some Sectionals begin near or after Spring Break. Notice the starting time difference between Sectionals and Bands.
