Color Guard

Color Guard performances are high-energy, and guard members are athletes who combine the performing and visual arts using dance, gymnastics, theater, acrobatics, equipment manipulation (including flags, rifles, sabers and other props), and visual color. A variety of dance idioms are incorporated, including ballet, jazz, and modern styles.

The College Station High School Cougar Color Guard performs and competes with the marching band in the fall season. In the winter/spring season, they compete as a Winterguard, a visual ensemble in an indoor setting. All students at CSHS are eligible to audition for winter guard.
