A) UIL Regional Marching Contest RESULTS: We received a Sweepstakes, which is a Superior Rating, a ’I’, from all three Judges! Any 5A Band averaging a ‘I’ from the three Judges has now qualified to advance on to the Area Contest this Saturday.
B) Absences and Attendance – This is our most important week of the Marching so far. We have to have everyone at every rehearsal. If you are sick enough to miss a rehearsal this week, you will need a Doctor’s Note to be excused; just like if you miss a class during the day at school. We have compromised all season and now we need you all here with us.
C) Monday Night Rehearsal/Clinic with Manny Maldonado – Mr. Maldonado has been the Design Coordinator of our Marching Show the last two years. This will be an incredible time for us to continue preparing for the Area Contest
D) Away Game this week! FB Game vs. Willis HS. Away Game Itinerary coming soon. This will be a pretty normal away game for us, but we will be packing up and leaving after halftime this time to get home and rest as we prepare for our biggest Contest of our Marching Season. Special Thank You’s to Coach Huff and the Football Team in their support of our Band even in this decision!
E) UIL Area Marching Contest: Since we received Superior Ratings at UIL Region, we are now qualified to Compete at UIL Area this Saturday, October 26th ! This will be a LONG Day of Competition hopefully because it is a Prelims and Finals Format… Hopefully we qualify for the Finals portion. You can bring Homework to do in your down time. We will not know the exact Performance time for us until Tuesday evening or Wednesday sometime. Itinerary Coming soon.

We will be reserving our Final Home game to recognize our Band Seniors at Halftime! More info to come, but make sure you are there to support the Amazing Class of 2020 with us!

Procedure for absences
This is our most important week of marching season so far. We have to have everyone at every rehearsal. This will help us keep track of students.
Once the form is filled out, it will be put on a calendar the directors can view.
